With all the major conferences out there, why should I be interested in the MAC?
Because in many ways, the MAC has caught up to the Big Ten, SEC, Big East, etc. If you need proof, just look at an NFL depth chart. However, it's much more than that. Akron soccer is a perennial NCAA powerhouse, Miami hockey just played in the national championship game, Bowling Green basketball was in the Top 25 this year and the Buffalo football team was one of the most touching Cinderella stories of 2008. In many ways, the MAC is just as successful as those "major programs".
So what sports are you going to cover?
We're covering all 19 MAC sports as well as CCHA hockey.
Does that mean you'll cover every CCHA school as well?
No, our CCHA coverage will only relate to the three MAC schools that participate in the conference.
