BUFFALO — After more than a month on the road, Buffalo returned home in dominant fashion. The Bulls welcomed Eastern Michigan to town on Friday, putting away the Eagles 5-2.
In singles play, the Bulls took four of six matches, only dropping the No. 2 and No. 4 singles events. On the doubles side, Buffalo was equally advantageous, taking two of three matches.

UB came up big in singles.
The tandem of Denise Harijanto and Aleksandra Petrova were especially good for the Bulls. As a doubles team, they put aside EMU's Julia Breuss and Miriam Westerink 8-3 and then each won their singles matches. Harijanto held off Breuss 6-3, 6-1 and Petrova rallied back to beat Xu Chang 5-7, 6-0, 6-1.
"Our effort was decent today," EMU coach Ryan Ray said. "We put ourselves in a position to win the match by forcing four three-set matches. It's a lot to ask for to win them all, but we made Buffalo work for the win today."
